Likes: Mia loves to run and play in the yard with her canine foster siblings and then cuddle on the sofa with Mom for a night of binge television viewing. She is crate trained, housebroken (never had an accident) and knows a few basic commands like sit, lay down and stay. Mia is currently attending training class and sprucing up her skills.
History: Mia Bella joined another Chicago rescue and when they were encapable of taking her back from her adoptive family, she joined KEI. Unfortunately we were given no paperwork on Mia and lack any backstory on her life prior to KEI. What we can share with you is that Mia Bella is a sweetheart with her people. She lives with a foster fmaily with 3 other dogs and a 3 year old child. Mia loves her playmates and is gentle when interacting with the child. Mia is house trained and crate trained. When its time for bed, her foster merely tells her “it’s bedtime” and off she goes to her crate for the night. Mia is the perfect family dog, the breed is known for their temperment being, “ Loyal, Fearless, Trainable, Protective, Active, Kind”. Originating in South Eastern USA, the medium-size hunting and guard dog Black Mouth Cur is a breed of companion dogs that would do anything for its master. Their life expectancy is 12 to 18 years and they make wonderful family dogs. A fenced yard for the BMC to roam and execise is a necessity as they bred to be working dogs and will need to expand their energy. An intelligent dog, they excel at agility and can be trained in many tasks.
