Nike arrived to us from Haseya New Beginnings Rescue in Rayne, LA. on February 25th, 2024. He went into a foster home that day after arriving by plane on the last leg of his journey.

This began Nike’s first steps towards gaining mobility following a diagnosis of front limb deformity on both limbs. Surgery was ruled out and we immediately turned to Wild Hearts Pet Care for their expert opinion and to get to work.

The first photo is Nike in Crowley Hospital in Rayne, LA before he left on his trip to us, the next video is Nike playing in the yard with his foster sister shortly afterward, the next video is from today, 4 months later, the last photo is our handsome prince now at 10 months old.

In viewing the videos my heart swelled, this is the work of Nike, himself, his foster parents Giorgis and Donna, and his team at Wild Hearts Pet Care. From walking on his bent legs to standing up, head up, running and enjoying life playing with his foster sister.

Nike is an inspiration to all of us who have grown to love him as he has stolen a piece of each person’s heart.
