Testimonials

I cannot thank K9 Enrichment Initiative and Cynthia enough for the incredible support they’ve given our family during one of the most challenging times of our lives. Due to unexpected financial hardship, my husband, son, and I were forced to live separately—my son and I with my parents, and my husband and our two dogs, Jake (our Great Dane) and Hank (our Pug), with his.

Finding a pet-friendly rental has been nearly impossible—especially with a large breed like a Great Dane. But rehoming Jake was never an option. He’s family. Still, the cost of caring for such a large dog, especially his food, was becoming overwhelming. For the last three months, Cynthia and the amazing team at K9EI have generously provided food for both of our dogs, lifting an enormous weight off our shoulders and allowing us to keep our beloved pets with us.

Beyond just food, Cynthia went above and beyond by offering access to a clinic where our dogs received vaccinations and microchips—all with fees waived due to our circumstances. Her compassion, generosity, and commitment to helping families stay together with their pets is something I will never forget.

There are no words that can fully express the depth of our gratitude, but I promise to pay it forward however I can. Thank you, K9EI, for being a light in a very difficult time.

We liked the Foster to Adopt process to make sure we were a good fit for Buster and he was a good fit for us. He is a joy. Just what we were looking for in a family dog. Thank you!

This is our second foster to adoption with K9EI and we feel very lucky to be part of the K9EI alum family. We often recommend K9EI and are so grateful for Cynthia and all of the volunteers, especially Charley Ricker who first took care of Lillie Ann and her littermates. He is so kind and we appreciate all of his efforts.

The Decker Family

One of the main reasons we were hesitant to bring a dog in from off of the streets was all health/medical cost related. Our senior dog, who has since passed since we brought in Kiki, was my number 1 priority and I could not risk something infectious coming into my house or something costly that would interfere with his care. It was extremely important to me that a young dog be vetted before coming into our home and I cannot thank you enough for the thorough vetting that is done for the dogs brought in. It never once crossed my mind to adopt a young dog, my last 3 adoptions were all senior dogs, so I really appreciated Cynthia’s patience with me once I started to mention we were interested in adopting but weren’t 100% sure if we were the right fit for a young dog yet. Well, it turns out, there was one out there for us. We are so happy to have Kiki.

Cynthia was very helpful throughout the whole process. I especially appreciate that training was organized through Amanda who is wonderful and also very helpful. I was so happy to meet Terri and her family. I think everyone involved in this process with us was absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend K9 Enrichment and in the future we would definitely utilize this rescue again. Thank you!

Cynthia is the best! We had a rocky start with our Louie (Whiskey), and the true reason he is still part of our family is because of Cynthia. She helped us with his behavior, gave us tips as new dog parents, and even moved up his neuter surgery to help get us to where we knew he could be. After her guidance we now have an awesome new member of our crew! I also love the way she keeps in contact with all of her adoption families on facebook. It gives us a chance to stay in touch with both her and other families going through the same things we are. I would highly recommend K9EI to anyone looking to adopt!

“We’ve always had a wonderful experience with K9EI. We had a great experience personally with our foster to adopt kitten, Lola. We needed to make sure it would work with our dog before we adopted and we did! She’s a perfect fit for our family.” Randy Patinka, Adopter
