Fur: Short length, limited shedding. Low maintenance grooming.

Likes: People, dogs, playing outside, working puzzles, chewing antlers, cuddling at night on the sofa.  Prefers a home with children over the age of 7.  Ferro’s high energy style of play can be overwhelming for young children.  He is as intelligent as athletic, needs an active family.

History:  Ferro was found as a stray by North Chicago Animal Control.  He never entered the shelter system, went straight into fostering at the age of 5 months.  He joined KEI on December 10th.  He has enjoyed the company of 3 different foster homes, each different in lifestyle and adapted to each quickly.  He attended Basic Obedience classes at Springbrook Animal Care Center with trainer Ashley Kippenberg.
